Do you want to get acquainted with new tools and approaches in the sphere of digital history projects?
If yes, then we invite you to take part in the Digital History Workshop “Digital Tools for Historical Projects”, which will be held on September 17-18 in Minsk.
We invite historians, undergraduates and museum workers from Belarus who are interested in new ways of working with historical projects. As part of the workshop, you will get acquainted with the latest approaches to historical work on the example of the Stalag 352 prisoner of war camp project in Minsk, podcasts on history and new digital products for museums, etc., as well as participate in promoting historical projects online and on Instagram (which is the practical part of the workshop).
We expect from you: willingness to learn new approaches and think independently, and subsequently apply the acquired experience and knowledge in everyday work.
If you would like to participate in the workshop, please fill out this form by September 4, 2022.
The terms of participation:
The organizers cover food and accommodation in Minsk, if necessary, for 1 night (from 17 to 18 September). Participants pay for the journey to Minsk on their own.
Unforeseen circumstances: We do not rule out the possibility of changing the format of the event online and will inform you of any possible changes.
The organizers are partners of the Digital History Network - a platform for organizations, projects and initiatives that use digital media to analyze historical events, conduct research, visualize and present data related to the past.
The project is implemented by the International Educational Center in Dortmund (IBB Dortmund) and the Minsk International Educational Center named after Johannes Rau (IBB Minsk).
