Creating an online database of the cases of the prisoners of war in WWII using the photos of the files from the State Archive of the Vinnytsia Region. Entering 550 cases into the database.

Project description
During our work in the national archive we digitalized around 3000 files of the soviet prisoners of war that lived in Vinnytsia Oblast before WWII. Their stories were still unknown to their families.
Within the project, we have created an open database and entered 553 datasets into it. Every prisoner of war has their separate page that contains all available information as well as a digital photo copy of their case file.
Project outcomes
553 cases have been entered into the database. As of the end of the project, one story has been published on the website and a few other are on different stages of production. The project, however will not end here and the database continues to be filled and new stories are being written.
