As a structural subdivision of the Cherkasy regional state administration, the regional state archive is accountable and controlled by the regional state administration and the State Archival Service of Ukraine.
The institution is intended to form a national archival fund. The state archive of the region carries out the reception, description and storage of documents in order to use retrospective documentary information.
